GAME DESIGNER

Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of features, from design and review to feedback and iteration, in order to achieve goals defined by the Creative Direction.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure the quality of the gameplay experience and alignment with the game's vision.

• Balance different systems and features across various areas of Game Design to ensure they meet the needs of the gameplay and the Creative Direction.

• Create and maintain up-to-date written and visual documentation to ensure that all teams stay aligned and informed.

• Leverage data to make informed decisions across various areas and report findings to the Creative Direction.

Required Skills:

• Extensive knowledge and first-hand experience playing games across multiple generations, starting with the PlayStation 2 era and extending through all subsequent generations. This provides a comprehensive understanding of evolving game design principles and player experiences over time.

• Proven ability to excel in agile environments with dynamic and evolving requirements.

• Advanced mastery of player psychology and game feel, grounded in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.

• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills, with a sharp eye for detail, ability to iterate based on feedback, and a knack for solving problems creatively.

• Excellent organization, communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with experience using various tools to support decision-making.

• High level in English, with advanced proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.

• Experience with shipping AA or AAA games and understanding of the entire game launch process. 

• Extensive knowledge of a wide range of games.
